Andrew Adams has over 30 years experience in the petroleum exploration industry ranging across both technical and commercial aspects of the business.
Starting as a geophysicist with Amoco Canada, he moved to Australia with Santos Ltd where he lead exploration and development teams focussed on Australia, as well as areas of Southeast Asia. In the early 1990s he completed an MBA while working with Santos on budgeting, planning and commercial projects.
Mr Adams also gained significant small company experience working on acquisitions and project finance as Commercial Manager with Cue Energy Resources Ltd. This role included projects located in Australia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
Since 2001 he has worked with Bass Strait Oil Company Ltd combining a wide ranging commercial role with responsibility for the conduct of joint venture operations. Mr Adams was appointed Managing Director of Bass Strait Oil Company in July 2006.
He is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), sits on the Exploration Committee of the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association (APPEA) and is a member of the Petroleum Exploration Society of Australia (PESA).
