Damian Dwyer is the Director, Energy Markets & Climate Change; he has been with APPEA since February 2006.
Damian’s key responsibilities include a range of economic and trade issues within the upstream oil and gas industry, including climate change, energy policy and international trade issues.
Before joining APPEA, Damian worked for seven years at the Minerals Council of Australia as part of the Council’s economics and commerce team.
Earlier still, Damian held various positions as an economist in the Australian Public Service, including one with the Australian Bureau of Statistics, the then Department of Primary Industries and Energy and also in the Productivity Commission.
Damian has a Bachelor of Economics and a Graduate Diploma in Public Economic Policy from the Australian National University, where he won the Prize in Public Economic Policy in 1996. He is a member of the Economic Society of Australia.
