About the conference

The Resources Victoria Conference will showcase Victoria's strengths as a premier location for investment in mineral exploration and development across a range of commodities including gold, minerals sands, oil and gas, brown coal and renewable energies. The three-day conference will be held at the Hilton on the Park – Melbourne from August 17-19 and this multi-commodity event will feature leading industry presenters and exhibitors, and provide a unique opportunity to explore a range of resources opportunities in Victoria. A complimentary technical forum, on day three, will offer delegates the added opportunity to access the Victoria’s Department of Primary Industries’ latest world-class, pre-competitive geoscientific data, a fantastic tool to help companies reduce their exploration risk. This year's Resources Victoria Conference will feature the Strzelecki Awards. The awards recognise outstanding sustainable development achievements in the Victorian earth resources industries. Minister for Energy and Resources, the Hon. Peter Batchelor will announce Strzelecki Award winners at a special evening ceremony on 17th August. Resources Victoria, with the support of the Victorian Government as principal sponsor, will become the premier annual event on the resources calendar for all mining, exploration and services companies with existing projects in Victoria, or those looking to invest in the state.
